3D printer : Assets and decisions. (pre-purchase).

Problem : Most 3D-printers (3DP) comes in knocked-down form.
So we need to be ready with a few items before we get it.

1) Reliable assembly info
  • Available from
    Any online content like youtube
2)Sliced 3D model to test.
usually supplied in SD card wchich may come along with the 3DP., But a more benchmarking test model would be better.

3)Filament

4)Settings information for specific test print.

5) Some dedicated space, and reliable power supply

6) Any essential upgrade parts.

Please add details to this, if any more is needed. TIA !

Other items that would help 3DP in general

6) Digital vernier callipers
Any recommendations : ?

7)Putty blade
Any recommendations ?

8)Hard hair wax - recommended by WWforum.

9) Some kind of light if lighting , if lighting is not sufficient.
Strip LED lighting, ordinary rechargeable torch

10) Mirror

11) a rotating table.

12) Isopropyl Alcohol - for cleaning.

13) Gloves to prevent oil and moisture from sticking on to the print.
